i’m kinda obsessed with this idea of bellamy and clarke being lovers who have been reincarnated time after time after time only to find their way back to each other in each life.
like they start off in rome and she’s betrothed to the callous emperor but she’s in love with a common boy and when the emperor finds out he puts bellamy to death by way of combat in the colosseum and clarke has to watch as he’s mauled to death by a lion.
and in their next lifetime he’s on an expedition to the new world and clarke is a native and he teaches her his own language (or bits and pieces) but idk something happens and she gets killed by one of the other explorers in bellamy’s group
and in the next life clarke and bellamy are in salem and clarke’s mother is one of the higher ups in regards to the church and has a lot of political power. when a young girl who has a childish crush on bellamy finds him interlocked with clarke in the woods, their clothes askew and his mouth on clarke’s neck, she goes to abigail claiming that they’re both witches that put a curse on her. when they’re tried for it in court, abby is only able to get clarke off the hook and clarke watches in horror as bellamy is hanged.
next, they’re political protesters, both taking part in the anti-Vietnam war movement. they’re at kent state when they hear a gun shot ring through the air and chaos ensues. bellamy and clarke are separated and when the shooting stops bellamy is screaming out her name trying to find her. when he finally does, she’s laying on the ground, blood pooling around her as her lifeless eyes stare up at the sky.
they almost get to be happy in their modern day lives, in 2015 when they’re both college students and fighting each other on everything, be it what pizza toppings they want to order or whether or not bellamy deleted the newest episode of Grey’s off the DVR. they love each other, though, more than life itself. so when clarke gets pregnant it’s great news. until she’s giving birth to their daughter and she won’t stop bleeding and her skin is getting paler by the second and her grip on bellamy’s hand is going slack and she’s whispering, “take care of her.” before she closes her eyes for the last time.
and the next time they’re resurrected, she’s a princess from the sky and he’s her knight and all he wants is for her to just stay with him but he knows she can’t.
and maybe someday they’ll get it right, but not right now.
